The Snoqualmie Valley Aquatics Collaborative Will Study Future Regional Public Pool
A newly-formed regional group is poised to move the conversation about public pool access forward.
The Snoqualmie Valley Aquatics Collaborative (SVAC), a new advisory group to Si View, will convene a series of meetings beginning this month. Created by a unanimous resolution of the Si View Commissioners in November, the group is made up of elected representatives, non-profit and community group leaders from across Snoqualmie Valley. Their task will be to evaluate the purpose and need for a new public regional aquatic facility and, with consideration of various community goals and concerns, identify and recommend a path forward.
Members of the SVAC represent Si View Metropolitan Parks District, the City of North Bend, the Snoqualmie Valley School District, Fall City Metropolitan Parks District, the Mt. Si Senior Center, and Valley Pool Together.
“Formation of this type of group is exactly what we were hoping for when we began work almost a year ago,” said Valley Pool Together president and co-founder Kate Moscato Leen. “Hopefully we can finally find a path together to completing this important project.”
